The Kruger National Park is located in the South African Lowveld between the towering escarpment of the Northern Drakensberg, and the Mozambique coastal plains. Spanning a variety of savanna habitats, ranging from high-rainfall wooded mountains to semi-arid grassland plains. The Kruger has within its borders an abundance of wildlife and a rich, but largely unexplored, natural heritage.
Day 1: Gauteng Kruger National Park
We depart at 5:00am to allow for various collection points within the Gauteng region. As we enter the Kruger National Park, your first game drive begins en route to the nearest rest camp for lunch/refreshments (own expense) and unpacking. You will have time for a swim/sleep or just some relaxation before heading back into the park for more animal spotting. Return to rest camp before the gates shut. Freshen up before we meet at the restaurant for dinner.

Day 2: Full day in Kruger National Park
Early morning is an ideal time for animal spotting. After a quick cup of tea/coffee we head out as soon as the gates open (times vary according to season) on our morning game drive. We stop at a rest camp/tea room for breakfast. Sightings of large game, notably the Big 5, (Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Rhino) are always unforgettable experiences. Around midday we stop at the nearest rest camp for lunch/refreshments (own expense). Options include swimming or more wildlife spotting at a river bank. We continue with an afternoon game drive and return to camp just before the gates shut.
That evening youll be taken on a sunset game drive with a Park ranger in a Kruger National Park open game viewing vehicle. The rangers are permitted to collect visitors from the rest camps after normal gate closing times. You will have the opportunity to spot nocturnal animals including lion and leopard as they ready themselves for the hunt. On your return to camp you will be served a classic South African Braai (BBQ) organized by your guide/tour operator.

Day 3: Kruger National Park Gauteng
Our final day in the Kruger National Park to spot the animals that, just maybe, eluded us thus far. We will again start early to allow for plenty exploration time. Breakfast at a rest camp/tea room. Exit the park around midday for our 5 hour drive back to Gauteng, stopping for lunch en route (own expense). You are dropped off at your hotel/accommodation within the Gauteng region late afternoon/early evening.
